Green Christmas festival. Our long tour break is coming close to the end, as we will get back to stage during the weekend of 12th-13th of December this year. This will happen in Estonia, Green Christmas festival, held in Rakvere Sports Arena. This will be our second time there, as we played the festival already in 2004. Having experienced this fine festival we are very excited to get back there.
Other bands this year are Enslaved, Dark Tranquility, Volbeat, Stonegard, Maroon, Metsatöll etc. Check out the ticket info on www.greenchristmas.ee. More shows and tourdates for 2009 will be posted online later on.
Mixing in progress. The new album is now basically recorded and the mixing is in progress. Everything is sounding good so far, as the last session musicians are still giving their effort to the album. It may not take long until some new material with some big news will be posted online. Stay tuned, and if not else, march to the store and make yourself aware of new and warm clothing available for the autumn.
Studio action. The first days have been long but inspiring. Currently we are recording in Magnusborg mansion - Studio Mankku, Porvoo. Next week the session will continue in Victory Audio, Kokkola.
In the studio. The time has come and the recording session of our third full-length album is about to start now. The next three weeks will include a one week session in an old mansion locating in another town, as well as a two week session in the town where Callisto was founded back in 2001. The album will be produced, engineered and mixed by good old Jonas Olsson. We will post some photos during the long waited weeks of long working hours.
While waiting for things to proceed with the new album, there is a new Callisto hoodie finally in stock! It is a zipper having a golden print accompanied by text "Colours Subside In The Pale And Night". You can enlarge the design by clicking the picture. General update. We have been working hard on the new songs during the last six months, and thus keeping a low profile. Currently we are hitting the hardest stages of pre-production and preparing ourselves to studio.
Some content will be posted online as the true action begins in the summer. More detailed album info and schedule will be posted later on.
The Fugitive appears in animation. A London working 3D animator Teemu Erämaa has released his latest animation film "The light at the end of the world", featuring our song "The Fugitive". You can watch the film below.

Mailing list. You can now subscribe to Callisto mailing list. You will be informed on all news and updates concerning the band. There is also a new website in the works.
Writing new material. Autumn is constantly getting colder here in the north, as new chords and tunes are being conceived in the Callisto nest. Thus there will be a short break from playing shows.
There are main structures of somewhat four or five songs ready and the front porch lights of studio doors are already blinking in the horizon. The doors are supposed to be opened next year. More info to follow.
The next generation. The first Callisto child saw daylight on Thursday, 6th of September, as Juho´s wife gave birth to a baby boy. Both baby and mom are doing well and the whole family is feeling very thankful and excited.

Kokkola. For the first time in SIX years we are going to play in our original home town. God knows why it has been so long but finally it is happening. Kokkola Rock Festival will be held on 3rd and 4th of August, right by the sea in Suntinsuu Camping area, Kokkola. Our showtime is on Saturday 4th of August 17:00 local time (5 pm).
Turku. It´s been almost a year since we last time played in our home town. This Friday (June 8th) we are going to do it, so expect a tight local night at Klubi. We share the home stage with Endrive and While I´m Alive. The mini tour goes on, so we can be spotted in Valtarock (Harjavalta) on Saturday and in Inferno (Tampere) on Sunday. Generally things are looking quite interesting - we have some new material under process...
America. We were glad to safely return from Canada/USA, as well. We had a great time and got a bunch of valuable new experiences. Thank you for everyone involved. We will try to post some photos later on.
Back home and leaving again. Thank you for everyone who supported and helped us in any way on our February European Tour. We had a good time on the road and met loads of friendly people. Canada & USA. In addition to the European tourdates announced earlier today (check below), it is now confirmed that we will also travel to North America in March. This is the first time for Callisto and we feel very good and curious about it. We will play showcases in Toronto, New York and Austin. Check out the dates.
Return to the road. First of all, happy new year everyone. We are glad to announce that we will be supporting the European release of Noir by hitting the road in February. Take a look at the tourdates and check back for updates on everything concerning the tour. Noir will be released in several European countries, as well as in Canada, in mid February.
Before touring Europe we will also return to Helsinki, first time since May 2006. The date is January 19th and the venue is Kuudes Linja. Buy tickets here.
Finally some news. Noir is going to be released in February 2007 in the following countries: Belgium, Cananda, Germany, Holland, Italy, Luxembourg and Sweden. More details concerning the release will follow. Also expect some serious touring news, as well as some new merchandise.

Weddings celebrated. Recently we have been glad to celebrate some Callisto-weddings. Sanna & Johannes got married a couple of weeks ago and Maria & Arto a while before that. Congratulations!
How to order Noir. You can make international orders of Noir on cdon.com or Fullsteam webstore to name a few, as long as Noir is not available in your own country. We will post some news regarding the international release and touring as soon as we know. Thank you for your patience.
Early showtime on Thursday. This is for all of you who will be in Turku area on the day after tomorrow (Thursday 27th of July). We will start playing already quarter to ten at S-Osis, Indie Iltamat. If you are planning to see the show, make sure you will be there 9:30 pm. This is simply because we have a very early wake-up call on Friday morning due to Friday´s early showtime in Oulu, which is about 650 kilometres from Turku.
Shirts are back in stock. We have received some questions concerning our merchandise. Most of the shirts were sold out for a while but now they are back in stock again. You can order them by heading to Fullsteam webstore. There are also new hoodies coming to the catalogue. Just a little bit more patience is required.
New festival dates announced. We will perform at Qstock of Oulu, as well as Karmarock of Harjavalta, both in the end of July. See the details here. More dates to be released.
"Woven hands" featured on "Supernatural" trailer. A part of Woven hands, taken from the new album Noir, is featured on the trailer of a fiction tv-show "Supernatural", starting to air on Finnish tv-channel SubTv in the autumn 2006. If you watch carefully, you may already spot the song during the commercial breaks.
People in the city of Pori, the long wait is over. We will perform live at Club 19 on the 4th of August with Magyar Posse. Look forward for more dates to be released.
One show cancelled. We are sorry to inform this but the show in Vaasa has been cancelled due to some strange issues totally beyond our control. Apparently the venue is under construction or something like that. Some new shows are yet to be announced, though.
Speaking of some good news instead, the new album hits the Finnish stores today. Check back for updates concerning international releases.

New album titled "Noir". The release date for our second album "Noir" is set to the 10th of May 2006. It will soon be available for pre-ordering in Fullsteam Records webstore. This release date applies only Finland. News concerning international release dates will be announced later on.

First of all, sorry for the lack of updates. We are waiting for artwork to be finished and we actually still don´t know the release date. Otherwise the album is ready. About touring, we are obviously going to tour Finland first and then abroad. Check back for dates. Next time we will have some more concrete to reveal, like the album title, tracklisting, release date, tourdates etc.
Things in progress. The new album is currently being mixed and everything is sounding great. Artwork is also taking shape now and the mastering date is set 1st of March. Things are rolling on and we let you know about the date of release as soon as we find it out.
Andrew Schneider to mix the new album. It is now confirmed that Andrew Schneider (Cave in, Keelhaul, Eden maine etc.) will mix the upcoming Callisto album in his studio in New York, USA. The mixing will take place in February 2006.
It is also worthy of mention that Samuel Durling, courtesy of Durling inc., has been put in charge of the art direction, which for the first time will be done by someone outside the band.
The recording is almost complete with the exception of a few additional instruments, keyboards and a couple of surprise elements! Expect a release later this spring. More info coming soon, have a good new year everyone!
A couple of days to go. Last few days have passed by with guitar recordings. Only two days to go with vocals and some additional instruments and we´re finished, outcluding sampler and synths, which will be recorded early January. Expect some information about the further steps in this process soon. New photos added to gallery.
Bass tracks in the works. Drums have now been finished and low tunes are being captured. Everything is sounding as it is should. New photos have been added to gallery.
Recording drums. Drum tracks for three songs have been finished. The environment and the circumstances are pro-creative for sure --> gallery. Also check out jonasolsson.net, our producer´s new site. He is posting some news about the session, too. More updates to follow.
New merchandise, at last. A couple of new t-shirt designs (hoodies also expected) will soon hit the Fullsteam Records webstore. See the designs on the merch -section.
Tomorrow we will also hit the studio. 9 songs have been completed during the intensive and challenging pre-production session. News and photos will be posted online as things are getting shape in the studio.
Callisto enters studio! We have started the pre-production of our second album with Jonas Olsson. So far we have completed five songs and five songs are in the works. In December we will head into the studio in the backwoods of the northern west-coast countryside, around where most of us grew up.
The album will be produced and engineered by Jonas. The mixing and mastering will be done elsewhere (not yet confirmed) and the album will be released during the first half of next year.
Due to the recording process we will not be touring this year anymore. We promise to get back on the road right away next year. Check back for more updates.
A member getting married. Today we are glad to celebrate a Callisto-wedding. Congratulations Monna & Markus!

Back in Finland from the tour. Just in time to spend a peaceful midsummer. Holland and Belgium was great, thank you for everyone involved! Expect some photos and new shows to appear.
Updates in lineup and website. Our old friend Aretwo from Sela is now taking care of sound landscapes, though this may not be permanent commitment. We are glad to have him in the crew. There are also some new photos and album reviews on the media-section. Within few days we will be heading to Holland and Belgium to play some shows and festivals → shows.
Some not so good news this time. Henri has decided to retire from Callisto. This happened due to disagreements on various levels. The departure however happened in good and friendly terms. We want to thank him for his devotion for the band and wish him luck in his future projects.
More summer tourdates announced. We will pop in Holland and Belgium to play some club- and festival shows in mid-June. Check the dates and venues on the shows page and stay tuned for more! About the shows in Germany we were supposed to play around this time...we are truly sorry we couldn't make it. That was due to some booking problems, absolutely not depending on us.
Back home from the UK-tour. We had a great time being on tour and we want to express our sincere gratitude to High on Fire, Winnebago Deal, the guys at Earache and of course all you who showed up at the gigs and gave some great feedback. We will be glad to return.
Callisto at Tuska Festival. Callisto has been confirmed to perform at Tuska Open Air Metal Festival, July 2005 in Helsinki. Also see some other Finland-shows at shows-section.
Callisto in UK. In couple of hours, we're heading for tour in UK. We will play 12 gigs around the kingdom with High on Fire. Hopefully you can make it to a show or two. For more details see shows page.
New website - new member. Long wait is over, new website is finally online! We also would like to introduce you a new band-member: Henri Kuittinen (sound landscapes, synth, guitar). We wish him very welcome and feel relief since our sound is now more capable to obtain the missing dimensions it has been longing for.

Earache-release set 28th of March / United Kingdom -tour announced. The Earache-release of True Nature Unfolds is confirmed to be set 28th of March 2005. This will include whole Europe (except Finland) and Australia. The US-release will take place further on during the spring. You will see the new issue with different covers than Fullsteam-release.
We will be backing up the new release by touring United Kingdom in late March/early April. We will be supporting USA´s High on Fire on all the dates. This is our first tour in UK and we feel very enthusiastic about it! See the dates below:
Mieszko Talarczyk (1974-2004). We wish to express our deepest sadness and sympathy for Mieszko Talarczyk (1974-2004), who now has been identified dead after nearly two-month time of being missing in Thailand. We remember Mieszko as a great and extremely talented guy who created the sound and completed the production for True Nature Unfolds. We´ll always remain in a great debt of gratitude for him.
